Module Requirements and Prerequisites
You can use module requirements and modules to not only add clarity to your directions, but also to make sure students cannot skip to module 2 before completing the actions required in module 1.
First you should add requirements to each module.
Then you need to mark a prerequisite module for the modules you wish to lock down.
For example, if module 1 has a page, a discussion, and an assignment and you want the students to view the page, contribute to the discussion, and submit the assignment prior to moving on to module 2, then you would mark those three as requirements of module 1. You would then go into the settings for module 2 and mark module 1 as a prerequisite.
